God, thank you for reminding through your faithful servant to look at your word and remember I am going to be okay, I might not have everything or understand everything, but you do. Help me to not only seek help for others, but to swollen my pride and ask for help when I need it. It is what we do for each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Serve. I love you,Lord. Continue to bless the pen in the hand of the one writing these Under the Sun devotionals. Amen. Your favorite daughter, Ms Fabulous 67
Your timing is impeccable, how did you know that I needed that example right at this minute? My spirit is carrying the heavy burdens of others and my body is breaking down under the stress.
You have thrown me a life line connecting me to the Lord. Thank you I will follow through with prayer.
You know by the time I got to the end of your writing, I was crying. Sometimes we all need to be told “it’s going to be okay.” For most of my life I’ve been the “the middle person”. But the most humbling times in my life were when I was that third person.
Sunday letter! One of my favorite things about Sundays now.
Thank you for writing this letter. I can feel the sincerity of your heart in every single word. Because you write from your heart, it meets and speaks to the soul of the reader. I pray that you NEVER question your writing or its impact.
You answered a question that I often ask myself…”what do have to offer?” I tend to see all of the things I don’t have sometimes. You opened my eyes to see that I don’t need to have them. God is the source of every thing that I need and the giver of good things. If I need it, He has it. If I don’t have it then I can trust that He has placed inside of someone else exactly what I need.
And I’m that person that will always hit you with a “I’m good” because I’m not great at asking for help. This letter was a such a gentle correcting reminder that asking for help isn’t weak…it’s actually a strength. I have a testimony of something that just happened to me yesterday that is so connected to this letter. It’s too long to share here. You’ve got way too many comments to read and I won’t do that to you lol. Maybe I’ll share another way.
Thank you for continuing to make Sunday extra special. ❤️❤️
Thank you Kellye for always encouraging me. Really means a lot.
You know I think it’s just a human thing… because so many of us do find it hard to ask. But to know that we have a Heavenly Father that really desire for use to ask Him for anything… and to know that no good thing will He withhold from us is soooooo refreshing.
happy this letter connected with you and what you experienced yesterday too.
Thank you for this message..I will definitely think on it because I am not so good… though better than I was!!!??? Also I appreciated what MsFabulous 67 had to say.⭐️👍 Thank you both. Sending you both love and appreciation!!!💚🙏
Suddenly where I was commenting now a box has appeared that wasn’t there before … I only saw part of it but now I see more.. 😂 I’m not complaining… but let me share something with you that’s honest.
I love your content .. but for sure.. there have been two articles that shoo… where God was speaking right to me and this article was one! It took my breath away!!! Literally!
So I thought at the time when it hit me the hardest .. I would reach out about it…
Let me explain:
There is a lot of Holy Spirit breathed content online.. everywhere
But as a Pastor, hospital chaplain, trauma volunteer, lived overcomer of human trafficking and homelessness (and it is very purposeful that I just stated all of that)… I am seeing SO many people read something Holy Spirit breathes through His Word and His kids and it impacts lives.. but some times it OPENS people UP and they become very vulnerable.
I witness people who are in a moment and will ask for prayer or are feeling so desperate or are in pain that they will post their need… but watch this: No one replies.
I am not saying that is the case here..
but this is something I think we need to look at seriously online because SO many people are NOT in a community or a safe community where we are present to wash the feet of those hurting.
One day the LORD said to me:
People are like the dark void that My Spirit hovers over to SPEAK and bring life to… but once they hear and answer back in a vulnerable state if my children are not there to minister—the enemy will be. And you know how wolves look for bleeding sheep.
Again this is not directed at you because I have only read a few articles but the IMPACT left me vulnerable and I needed to chat ..
JESUS I always run to first.. but we have to remember we Co-operate with Him as his hands and feet in the earth
I totally understand what you are saying and I get it. Sometimes I try to get to everyone comment… but sometimes my letters go viral and I end up with over two thousand comments and no matter how hard I try I don’t get to respond to everyone and still spend time with the Lord to write my next letter. I do understand your comment is not towards me… but I’m just giving you perspective. I also live in a whole different timezone. Right now it’s 6:22am where I live. Also, I don’t believe that it’s always the writer responsibility to be someone source. It may be their job to start the conversation. Or to deliver what God said. Or to lead that person into deeper time with God.
I pastored for over 15 years and I pastored thousands of people. And it wasn’t possible to answer everyone after a service on a Sunday morning.
At the end of the day I do recognize and understand what you are pointing towards. But I also strongly believe that we should point and direct people to deepen their time, relationship and talks with God more. Yes, I can be a resource for people and I do my best to respond to people.
I DO understand. But I also see the other side of this. It’s not personal but something to consider for all of the Church.
If we are going to list content then maybe we need a team to help with some of the responses.
Jesus says this is going to be a great harvest - and the workers are few. Maybe we can find ways to steward what HE gives us in a way that is more manageable.
Writing
Having volunteers to respond
And maybe releasing content more slowly
These are just ideas that I am contemplating
I did videos for three years and had fewer people but it was geared to them and I met with them on Zoom or email.
Again this is not personal
But Jesus gives us the creative expression of His Spirit but we also have to have His Reflection
And Jesus AND His Disciples washed the feet or ministered to those that drew near
Ministry is being reinvented in the days we are living in and I believe adapting and stewarding it well is key.
I think this is where we disagree. Jesus spoke to thousands on the shore from a boat. The text never states he stands on the shore and answers ever person 1 by 1. Sometimes the answer was in his message. Sometimes the answer was in the person he healed and told them to go tell everyone. Sometimes even the disciples responded incorrectly to the people when they were put in place.
Again I hear what you are saying and trying to establish. But that may be the answer for one writer and that may be their call and conviction.
My bio states exactly what I am called to do here on substack… that is my mission and why The Lord has me here… to “write” about those things and give people perspective to see themselves differently.

The Lord knows you MP… I’m just His vessel. I know how hard it can be. Thank you for receiving this letter. God bless you.

Sometimes we need that release. I’m happy this letter touched your heart.
I asked god for a sign and then your article showed up, thank you ☺️
Wow… praise God. Happy this letter found you.
This article warmed my heart. May God continue to bless you, Marquise!

You keep writing these Sunday articles and now RIVER?
You and God are in my mailbox 📪 since you are… can we chat in a message
I think there’s more in the box
I’m already chatting with God.
Thanks for this
Sunday RIVER
If what you write ministers to people then as the Church, the writer is called to wash the feet of the one before Him or her
Why is your reply assuming something negative ?

Hi River… what reply are you referring too?
