The more intimate you become with us in your writing, the quieter I find myself getting in the comments lol. Not because I have less to say… literally the opposite. Your vulnerability keeps pulling me into more vulnerable reflections of my own & I'm realizing I don't always want to put those in the middle of the Substack town square. But I really do admire the courage it takes to let us in this closely. 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

Sir! You just keep digging deeper and deeper. What’s in that matcha lol?

No but seriously. After this first read (because I’m sure I’ll be back again), I started to consider my former and current thoughts about anger.

I mean I thought about the scriptures that tell you how to deal with it. And then Jesus…all in one chapter (Matthew 21)…flipped over tables and let loose on a barren fig tree. The text highlights his why and I don’t see where he was smiling while doing it.

Then it hit me…(for ME) maybe it’s not that I ever thought anger is unacceptable. Maybe it’s more about having to deal with the hard question of WHY it appeared.

This letter is a “Lazarus come forth.” That grave clothes outfit is out of season. Because what if there is something beautiful on the other side of the garment change?

Taking on the homework assignment given…

Thank you❤️
