No but seriously. After this first read (because I’m sure I’ll be back again), I started to consider my former and current thoughts about anger.
I mean I thought about the scriptures that tell you how to deal with it. And then Jesus…all in one chapter (Matthew 21)…flipped over tables and let loose on a barren fig tree. The text highlights his why and I don’t see where he was smiling while doing it.
Then it hit me…(for ME) maybe it’s not that I ever thought anger is unacceptable. Maybe it’s more about having to deal with the hard question of WHY it appeared.
This letter is a “Lazarus come forth.” That grave clothes outfit is out of season. Because what if there is something beautiful on the other side of the garment change?
